Korean late fall on the street

I suddenly realized that the autumn is passing. Korea's 70% of territory is mountain, therefore it's easy to get to any mountain if you want to get there. As a city person and worker of a company, it's not easy to enjoy the mountain. Maybe it's just my excuse.

But the street trees are also wonderful to fill the autumn surrounding me.

  



Red, brown, yellow and still green ones gave me inspiration to write this blog to say good bye for my 42nd autumn

Jesa - korean ancestor rituals

Jesa functions as a  memorial  to the ancestors  on the day of the ancestor's death every year. In my family we have several times Jesa for my grand parents and grand-grand-parents.  In the early 20 century my grand-grand-father had 2 grand mothers therefore we have totally 5 times ceremony to memorize the ancestors.  To prepare the meals for Jesa, my mom and my wife give their effort with family members.  We offer food, fruits, and wine, and finally make bows in front of the grand-parents spirit, all together.
